Starting Monday, June 17th, our summer hours will be Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 6 pm. We will be closed on Fridays. Virtual learning applications are now available at our front desk and on the ECPS website. If you are interested in having your child be virtual for the 2024-25 school year, please stop by our front office to pick up a paper copy or complete the application online. All paper applications must be submitted to the central office upon completion. The electronic and paper applications deadline is 5:00 pm on Thursday, June 27th. No applications will be considered after the deadline. The virtual program will be offered to students in grades 6-12. If you have any questions or concerns, please call 252-823-4284.

To achieve this, we are implementing several safety measures, including the use of weapons detection systems. Please be prepared for this security measure as it may cause slight delays. We appreciate your patience and cooperation. To facilitate a smooth and efficient entry process, we strongly encourage families to bring as few bags as possible. This will help reduce waiting times and ensure that everyone can enter the venue quickly and comfortably. Any bags that are brought will be subject to search. To avoid delays, please only bring essential items and ensure that your bags are easily accessible for inspection. As a reminder, the following items are strictly prohibited - weapons of any kind, Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.. Please plan to arrive early to allow ample time for screening and seating. A vision exam for driver's education students will be held at Tarboro High School on Wednesday, May 29th @ 11:30 a.m. Before students can move to the behind-the-wheel portion of driver's education, a vision check must be performed.

Under the guidance of ECC instructor Kevin Strickland, construction students at SouthWest Edgecombe High School are adding the final touches on their “dogdominium.” They're gearing up to showcase their incredible work at next week's North Carolina SkillsUSA competition in Greensboro, NC! This student competition celebrates leadership and practical skills in trades.

This week, 6th grade students visited Medoc Mountain State Park where they were able to go on a hike, explore their surroundings, and engage in outdoor activities as they summarized their reading of the novel "Hatchet".
